Land Development: Power Plant

The project initially specified straw blankets. Hunter Webster from East Coast Green, a Pennsylvania based land contractor, was able to have the specifications changed to Soil Guard.

All slopes had top soil from the site applied, and then were tracked with a dozer. Soil Guard was applied at a rate of 3,000 - 3800 pounds pre acre. Application took 45 minutes.

Weather Conditions

- Normal Summer Temperatures 79-84
- Sunny tp partly cloudy the day of application
- Average rainfall during germination period

Results

- Excellent germination over the entire project within 2 - 3 weeks
- Turf and vegetaion completely established within 20 - 30 days
