Soil Guard was applied at a rate of 2,200 lbs per acre to replace straw on the housing pads of this highly sensitive site.

As Soil Guard was applied on a continuing basis as the mountain was cut, weather conditions were varied.

Soil Guard Bonded Fiber Matrix was applied at a rate of 3,000 lbs per acre to keep soil runoff to a minimum while cutting out a mountain and building a wall.

No seed was used, except in the detention ponds, because of on-going excavation of the mountain. Soil Guard was re-shot once a week to cover new bare areas.

Soil Guard was also used, in place of straw on the home pads, due to State seismic regulations that mandate the removal of all straw prior to pouring foundations. Site tests found that an application of 2,200 lbs. Per acre provided protection equivalent to straw.

Soil Guard was so successful that the Protestors recommended the product to the State Environmental Protection Agency for a de-contamination site in nearby El Dorado, CA.
